Built according to the orders of Jakub Krčín of Jelčan. In 1622, the Eggenberks acquired the Czech Krumlov estate and the brewery along with it. In 1719, the Schwarzenberks inherited the Eggenberk estate in Bohemia and their era in the history of the brewery was very significant. It brought its dramatic expansion to the form as we know it today.
