Since its completion in the 13th century the former Dominican monastery served the needs of the estates representation. It was here where the provincial assemblies and courts held their sessions. During the 18th century the complex underwent some Baroque alterations. Today the New Town Hall is a seat of the city mayor and the municipal board. The visitors to the complex should not miss the opportunity to see the medieval cloister, historic portals and the prestige rooms.
